Inherited Site – want to move to WordPress.org
-
When I go to Manage > Domains I’m unable to change the DNS. I think this is because someone added Domain Mapping.
The Domain Registrar is EasySpace but when I go there it says:
Manage DNS
Sorry but it appears that your dns records do not reside on our servers. If you have recently changed your nameservers to point to us, please allow 24 hours for these changes to propagate. So where can I change the DNS records so that they point to a new hosting account – i.e. I just want to change the A record?
Or can I just change the nameservers (which of course currently point to ns1.wordpress.com etc) at the Domain Registrar to point to the new hosting. Which would mean resetting up the Email MX records for GSuite.
I just want to be clear, as importantly I don’t want to lose their email along the way. I’ve inherited this site and no one really knows any details of how it was all set up.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi –
The domain listed is registered through EasySpace and pointed to WordPress.com through the name servers. It sounds like that’s what you’re trying to set up.
Write back if you need more help.

Yes, so I just need to repoint the nameservers at Easyspace from WordPress.com to the new hosting?
How do we then also cancel the account with you. (Not just yet, but soon).
Thanks for your help. Lins.

That is correct, you will want to change the nameservers directly on your registrar’s side.
You will also be able to cancel the domain mapping and Premium plan after you’ve logged into the account that owns those subscriptions:steinerwaldorfschool.
