Inline Code Formatting Option

  Hello, I’m using the new editor to compose my blog posts and I’d like to request a new text formatting option.

  I write technical content and often use programming keywords like variable names in my sentences. I would like an option to apply the “code” HTML tag around selected text within a Paragraph block. Currently, I have to edit the raw HTML of the Paragraph block to add the “code” HTML tags.

  I contacted support and they confirmed an inline code formatting option doesn’t exist and that I should request the feature here. Hi!

  I’m aware of Preformatted and Code blocks, but those make an entire block be formatted with “code” or “pre” tags and what I want is to format only a few selected word(s) within a Paragraph block.
