Inoperable WP media file links

  WP linked media files (stored on WP and internally linked) inoperable. When clicked on blue text link the common secondary screen shows up but without the blue text linking to click on. Thus the visitor to site cannot see the actual document like .pdf or spreadsheet etc. Going on third day with this issue with unfortunately no reply from forum membership. I have seen several others making the same forum inquiries.

  Should note that the YouTube links work with no problem. Just seems to be .pdf and various spreadsheets document links inoperable.
