Hey guys I just bought the CSS upgrade for my site: http://pandandasquad.com I have asked a few people to edit my css for me so the background would be halloween colors or pictures, but no one knew how to do it. Can someone please tell me like step by step instructions to change my background color or add picture, because I am new to css and am using iNove theme which doesn’t seem to compatible with anything!! XP Thanks!

Buying the CSS upgrade with no knowledge of CSS is like buying an airplane to make a trip across country when you don’t know how to fly. There are only two or three people here in the forums with any experience, and they come and go infrequently. Delete everything that is in the CSS edit window now and add the following to the CSS edit window. Replace “img/bg.jpg” between the parentheses with the URL of the image you want to use as a background (that you upload to the media library).
body { background:none url(img/bg.jpg) repeat scroll 0 0; } #wrap { background:none; } -

Yeah, it work with iNove so I am going to switch themes. Thanks for the feedback though!!

With CSS being theme specific, is there a way to know, other than trial and error, whether a theme allows certain changes?
Thank you,

It requires that you look both in the generated source code (the HTML) and the CSS to see how they theme is structured and how a specific element is controlled within the CSS. One of the best tools for this job is the Firebug addon for Firefox which will list the HTML for elements on the left, and the associated CSS on the right and even allows you to try changes real-time to see the effects.

Thank you so much for the information. I hadn’t heard of firebug before. Off to check it out!
