inputing my own image onto the site

any image that I choose from my desktop to put onto the site has too many pixels. how do i add images if they are all too big or clear?

Is it possible you created your site under a different login with us or are using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?
