HELLO-I am an newbie on ur very cool site.I recently posted a blog and had a few questions. The first being there seem to be two posts listed when I hover my mouse over my name in the top right corner. But practically speaking when I am brought to that page there is only one post. Also, how do I know what category top lace my blog in(I currently have in under “60s Art.” Finally is my blog visible and is it visible on ur site and if so where would I look for it?Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
http://proggrok.wordpress.com/ – is alive and well
Look for it at the address above – DON’T look for it in a search engine, it takes 4 to 6 weeks for search engines to index a new site and that is only if there is something worth indexing on the site – blog more and just send the link to your friends etc.
-
You also have two Blogs
http://progjazz2005.wordpress.com/
http://proggrok.wordpress.com/http://proggrok.wordpress.com/ – is the one you have the single Post in – keep blogging in that one, just leave http://progjazz2005.wordpress.com/ – it will not hurt anything – or you can set it to private and use it for practice

-
PS-Just out of curiosity, what is the second page (http://progjazz2005.wordpress.com/) used for and how can I make it private,it does not seem to show up on my dashboard?
-
http://progjazz2005.wordpress.com/ is a blog not a Post – on the top gray bar where you see that name – mouse over the name – click on “Dashboard” and you will go to that blog –
Dashboard >> Setting >> Reading >> Visible only to those I invite >> remember to save changes at the bottom of the page
you have two completely different web sites / blogs with different names

-
Yes, you can delete it but no I don’t recommend that you do. I recommend you make it private because deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/I think every blogger can benefit from having a test blog. If you make it into a mirror blog of your main site then it’s an excellent way to test out widgets, themes, etc. Also if you import periodically into it from the main blog you have a backup. delete site
You must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered a blog to delete the blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click. -
-
Would the legitimate blog(http://proggrok.wordpress.com/)also be deleted if i go that route?
-
No. All blogs are independent and no matter how many blogs are registered under any username account if one is deleted that has no effects on the other blogs at all.
