    Hi there… was just wondering if I were to use a domain I already own thru google domains and would like to use the ‘Free Site’, do I have to pay any fees to wordpress in addition to my google domain registry? Thanks a bunch…

    Hi there,

    Yes, there is a cost to use your domain with your WordPress.com site. In order to use your domain hosted elsewhere with your WordPress.com site, you’ll need to change the domain nameservers at your domain host, and point them over to WordPress.com. Our nameservers are:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    Then, you’ll need to purchase the mapping subscription upgrade so that you can map your domain over to your WordPress.com site.
