    Hi there
    In https://wordads.co/faq/ it says

Q: Why do I need a custom domain name?

A: We are unable to provide WordAds for sites with the default free [example].wordpress.com URL, so you’ll need to either register a new domain name or map an existing domain name to your WordPress.com blog of choic

Registering only a domain is not an option any more so you will need a paid plan.

    best,

Thanks a lot for your help and I hope you could also help me decide… which is best…

to purchase domain here at wordpress? is it already with free hosting?

or puchase domain name outside wordpress ?

    Hello again!
You cannot register only a domain here at WordPress. If you buy your domain from an outside source, you still need a paid plan to map your domain to your content here at WordPress.com.

Paid plans come with a domain credit that you can use to either register the domain through WordPress or to map a domain you own TO WordPress.com

Since either action requires a paid plan to have your domain point to your content hosted here, it does not make sense to pay for a domain someplace else then pay for a plan that includes a domain. It is like paying twice for the same ice cream cone.

Your other option is to find a web host other than WordPress.com, whose plans also include a domain. There are advantages to hosting your pages, especially if your goal with the page is to make money. The following document explains some of the differences between self-hosted (not here at WordPress.com, sometimes referred to as WordPress.ORG) and pages hosted here at WordPress.com:

I know, no simple answers in today’s world is there?
