Inquiry On WordPress Hosting

  I have a domain name that will expire in March next year; however I fell out with the Hosting provider. I want to keep the domain name and migrate to another provider. The website I want to build is just for blogs hence thinking of migrating to WordPress with the intention of keeping my domain name and using free WP option. At the point of migrating my website, I was asked to pay £11, which will add 1 year to my domain name. My question is how much I will have to pay after that elapses? 2. Is it really worth it? Thanks

After that, the renewal will be charged annually depending on the domain extension (TLD). You can view the specific renewal costs here: Domain Pricing and Available TLDs.

  Only you can decide “is it really worth it”. To use “the free WP option” you’d have to give up your custom domain name and build a site with a subdomain address ending in .wordpress.com instead of .com or whatever.

  The free plan does not allow you to use your domain as the primary site address. Which means, if you access the site using your domain, it will redirect to the subdomain address (.wordpress.com).
  
  The feature to use a custom domain as the primary site address is only available with our paid plans.
