You must set a WordPress.com blog as your URL to post a comment. Please update your <a href=”http://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=grofiles-user-settings”>Personal Settings</a>.
Inquiry Regarding Commenting on WordPress.com Blogs with a Self-hosted WordPress.org Site
Dear WordPress Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am currently using a self-hosted WordPress.org site and have linked it to my Gravatar profile. However, when attempting to post a comment on a WordPress.com blog, I am prompted with the following message:
“You must set a WordPress.com blog as your URL to post a comment. Please update your Personal Settings.”
I understand that I need to have a WordPress.com blog linked to my profile to leave a comment. However, if I change my URL to a WordPress.com blog in the settings, it will affect my entire Gravatar profile, which I do not wish to do at the moment.
Could you kindly provide a solution for this situation? Is there any way to temporarily link a WordPress.com blog for commenting purposes without altering my overall profile settings?
Thank you in advance for your help, and I look forward to your guidance.

I’m facing the same issue with my self-hosted WordPress.org site. I’d prefer not to change my Gravatar profile URL just to comment. Any workaround for this?
