Insecure Version of PHP

  I just downloaded a new version of word press and have been told that “WordPress has detected that your site is running an insecure version of PHP.” How do I get back the old version or get a “secure” version of PHP?

  Here on WordPress.com, one does not have to download software or manage hosting, as its all taken care off. As you mention an instance of downloading a new version of WordPress, it looks like you’re in the wrong forum. Your site is using the open source WordPress.org software and you need to seek help at these forums:

  https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
