Insert a pdf
-
I drew a triangle in Word, converted the document to a pdf, and tried to insert it into a new post by using the Add Media button. All I got was the name of the pdf — the word “triangle”, underlined. How can I insert the pdf?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

PDFs cannot be inserted directly: you need to upload them to Scribd then embed the Scribd document.
But why create a PDF for a triangle? Create an image (PNG or JPG). -
Hi Michael!
As @justpi mentioned, Scribd will allow you to publish the contents of your document directly into your WordPress.com blog. Here is a link to the documentation for Scribd: http://en.support.wordpress.com/scribd/
Please let us know if this helps.

Thank you. I labeled the vertices of the triangle with letters in Word 2007, so the result is not simply an image. I don’t want to post my figures on Scribd. What’s the best way to get a labeled geometrical figure like that into the blog?

You’re welcome.
You need to create an image, using an image editing application (such as Photoshop). -
Except if your version of Word allows you to save the content as an image (I don’t use Word much so I don’t know).
Or you can open the PDF in Photoshop and save it as an image.
