insert / edit works for a new post but not when editing – what’s wrong?

Hi there. Can you please provide a little more information on exactly what you’re trying to do? If you’re talking about images: there was an issue with editing images but it’s supposed to have been resolved. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies and see if that makes any difference. http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

Hi Kokkieh, I want to add new URL hyperlinks within the text, which I can do fine with a new post. However, when I try to do this in the Edit function of an already published item the Insert / Edit function is greyed out i.e will not work.
I have already tried clearing out the browser cache & cookies, with no result. -

If you’re trying to edit posts by clicking on the Edit button while viewing your blog you’re going to run into problems. See the thread raincoaster posted above.Go to your dashboard at http://watchthisspaceman.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ Click on Posts ->All Posts in the sidebar menu and click Edit under the title of the post you want to edit. This should take you to the old post editor. If you are having problems in that post editor, let us know, as it might then be something else.

I wasn’t trying to edit whilst viewing the blog but have again cleared out all caches and cookies. I have then followed your advice to go to the blog for editing but the Insert / Edit function is still not working. Like I said before it seems to work for a New Post but not going into a published item. Any other ideas?
