Insert HTML into page?

Want to add a “ticker” (count down) to one of my pages… I copied and pasted but it didn’t show the image it was suppose to. It showed the whole string of html code instead.

Most counters require javascript to work and javascript is not allowed at wordpress.com.

There’s no javascript in it. It’s an image that points to a ticker for a countdown. Is that still javascript?

I just used the img src =……… part….. left out the a href portion

The ticker factory does provide html count down tickers that do work on pages and posts in wordpress.com blogs. There are various choices and probably what’s happened here is that the blogger made the wrong choice of code options.The choice MUST be the code box that’s labeled
HTML:
(on MySpace, MSN, Web pages, Blogs…) -

LOL @timethief … yep… I figured it out. And yes, I chose the right code on TickerFactory. I just had a bit of trouble getting it to look right.
I got it now! :D

One thing to remember is that you have to insert the code in “code view” rather than in the visual editor.
I have it on my test blog, but it simply leads back to the ticker factory home page, and the URL implies.

I would go through the process again. I just made one up as a test, and it took me to a page with the countdown on it.

To insert an image as a widget or as a link, I have tried all methods suggested in the ‘Forum’ but am still unable to implement an insertion and I continue to remain badly handicapped in using my site(s) in full measure. I need help on urgent footing.

You need to be more specific. Which image do you want to post? Give us the uploaded URL. What code are you using to do that? Post it here between backticks, which are those little ` marks on the same key as the ~.

My blog URL is http://www.neelkanth.wordpress.com. I have been making several attempts to insert images/links and when failed erased them to avoid clumsiness.Is it possible to get necessary individual modus operendi seriatim to reach a solution point. Thanks.
