  • Hi there,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble finding the link button in your editor. From your description, I’ll assume that you are using the block editor on WordPress.com.

To insert a link in a block of text, you can use these steps:

    1. Highlight the text where you want to insert the link.
    2. Click the link icon in the toolbar that appears above the text. The design of this icon resembles a chain link.

If the link icon doesn’t appear when you highlight the text, another trick you can use is to copy the link you need (before you are in the WordPress editor) and then if you highlight your text, you can “paste” the URL into that text with a keyboard shortcut (CMD+V) and it will automatically turn your highlighted text into a link .

    More info here: https://wordpress.com/support/links/

If the problem persists or you’re using a different editor, please provide more details. This way, I can give you the most appropriate help.

Thanks for reaching out, and happy blogging!
