“insert link” is disabled in post editor

  in the visual editor for posts, the “insert link” button is disabled. When trying to insert a link in the HTML editor and save the post, the link is gone, any idea?

  the first default post has a link to wordpress.com, and “insert link” button is enabled when opening that post.

  i can’t find any posting saying this is not supported, pls help.

  i used firefox, IE6 and none worked

  You probably want to take this off “Resolved” status if you’re still looking for answers.

  Then you want to tell us which versions of each of those browsers you’ve tried, and give us a direct link to one of the posts in question.
