insert more tag

  ‘insert more tag’ not working – i read the posts and went into HTML editor; still doesn’t work.
  any tricks or suggestions i might have overlooked?

  i tried (several times) to insert the ‘more’ tag after the end of the 4th stanza – after the word ‘opportunity’ and before ‘A circle of 7’

  Odd thing is – i’ve been able to do this before; yet i’m having the same difficulty with sarahwbartlett.wordpress.com.

  It looks like you have it inserted correctly. Keep in mind that the read more option only appears on the front page, not in the single post view.

  Thanks for the feedback, macmanx – so you mean I cannot see it on my screen, but it shows up when others view it? I only ask because in the past/on other posts, I HAVE been able to see it. It’s how I check that it’s there!!! Glad to know I’m doing it right, that’s reassuring.

  You won’t see it in the preview, since that’s the single post view.

  Once you publish it, you should see the read more link on the front page.
