Insert more tag into bulleted list

    Is it possible to insert a More Tag into a numbered bulleted list & not mess up the number bullet points? If so, how?

    i.e.:

    1. Blah blah point one
    <more tag>
    2. Blah blah point two

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Yes, just create the list first and then add the MORE tag where you want it.

    Nope. Doesn’t work. Here’s what happens. I start with:

    1. Such and such
    2. More such and such
    3. Yet more such and such

    If I hit return to create a line between points 1 and 2 for a more tag, the blank line will be labeled “2” and the number 2 line will be called 3, and so on. If I take bullets off the blank line, it will think I am starting a new list & both the #1 line and what was labeled #2 will both be labeled #1 and the list will be renumbered from there.

    If I give up on the option of inserting the more tag in between bulleted lines and just try to put it at the end of, say line #1, WordPress will not comply – nothing will be inserted.

    Bullet lists you can do

    I was not able to figure out a Numbered List – maybe if someone was real good with html (and WordPress.com did not strip out the extra code) the numbers could be kept in order – but above my paygrade

    You need to fine tune the html – it looks like there will be a blank like where the More Tag is

    Numbered list with more tag test
    <ol>
    	<li>Second</li>
    	<li>First</li>
    </ol>
    <!--more-->
    <ol start="3">
    	<li>third</li>
    	<li>forth</li>
    	<li>fifth</li>
    	<li>sixth</li>
    </ol>
