  I want to insert an actual pdf that will appear on the home page (not the pdf link).

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  We don’t support embedding PDF file contents on WordPress.com. However, you can embed contents of Google Docs, see this support document for reference: http://en.support.wordpress.com/google-docs/

  I tried following the instructions and I was able to embed a large blank square into my page! If the the file I want to embed is this:

  what exact code do I insert into the html version of the page in order to actually see the pdf on the visual page?

  I’m not able to view the file you have linked – could you please double-check that it’s not private, as mentioned in the support article?
