Insert picture into post fails

When I enter a picture using the normal manner; click on [Add an image] in the “Add Media” toolbar, then click on [Choose file to upload]. The photo then appears with the options I want to use. When I click on [Insert into post], the window goes white and nothing happens.

I have the exact same problem, it started recently! Must be a problem on the server somewhere…

Actually, I just found another way to do it. If you go under “Manage” you’ll find a “Media Library” link. Click on that. Then you can click on the “permalink” of the pictures you want to use if you’ve already uploaded them. Then, in your post, where you want to post the picture, click on the little icon with a picture and use the permalink of that picture.
If you haven’t upoaded the pictures yet, I am not sure what you can do… Maybe the upload thing still works on your blog, but it doesn’t on mine.

I’m having trouble, too. Using f’irefox. I tried lulu13’s suggestion and couldn’t get that to work either. Seems like there’re a lot problems than there used to be on wordpress.

There have been image problems for three or four weeks now. There must be at least a hundred threads on it by now.
Just copy the URL of the image once it’s uploaded and close the Uploader window. Click on the Image Icon in your Write box and put the URL in there. Format at will.

has there been any wordpress response on this?
because it’s SO time consuming. I find I keep uploading or inserting the image and then ultimately it seems the images appear but it takes forever and I still don’t know what that magic ‘trick’ is.
It’s ridiculous tho’. I love WordPress but it just makes no sense …

Im having the same problem. I tried updatting Flash. IT worked, then it just stopped working after I downloaded DivX.

I have Firefox; did not have major problems until yesterday. Uploaded photos, but they come and go; disappear and loose links to larger files. Today, I do not even HAVE my media toolbar. I do not have ifo that I had before. I emailed Nick and he said he can access my site fine. It’s the media I cannot upload because something is compromising my dashboard.

okay what i’m finding is that if i am putting it via a URL connection right now – it shows up under “manage” under HTML, but it does not show up in the Visual.
I CANNOT figure out why this would happen.
I keep reading there have been tons of posts about this but I’m not sure where to find the most illuminating ones.

Nothing seems to work some of the time. But last night after I switched from firefox to internet explorer and it worked just fine there. No rhyme, no reason looks like.

Issue for me is I can upload pictures but not insert them into the posts (although I will use the permalink workaround).
Issue occurs with my Firefox 2.x on XP.
to replicate:
1. upload images
2. click “insert gallery”Result is white screen with x but nothing happens, no insertion occurs.
Same occurs whether composing in HTML or visual.
