Inserted Featured Image being ignored on Home Page

  After I change the Featured Image on my Blog (Home Page) it shows up on my “Edit” as the Featured Image, but when you go to the site, the random images that are part of the Theme show up. Size was appropriate.

  A featured image you set to a post or a static page shows up when you view that post or page alone, for example:
  http://georgelysenko.wordpress.com/2012/10/29/welcome/
  That’s not the homepage view: the homepage is a dynamic page that displays all your latest posts (you’re not seeing the difference because you’ve only published one post). If you want a different image on the homepage, you need to add it in Appearance > Header.

  Many, many thanks. It wouldn’t upload for some reason from my files, but worked when I used the Media Library. Thanks again.
