Insert/Edit Button not working

    Hello,

    I am in need of some help with an issue in WordPress, and I’m really hoping someone can help me figure this out.

    I downloaded a PDF into my media library and now I’m trying to link it to text on a page. For instance if the text read, “to apply please fill out the volunteer form”, the words volunteer form would be a link to the document (the actual volunteer form).

    However, whenever I highlight the word, and try to select the insert/edit link button nothing comes up. It will let me break the current link but not add a new one.

    I read over many posts online, deactivated all of my plugins, even tried all different browsers, but nothing has worked.

    Please let me know if there is something I am not doing correctly or how I can fix this issue.

    Hi,

    What is the website address of the site you need help with? Is it postmodernmichigan.wordpress.com or is it something else? You can’t deactivate plugins here at WordPress.com so you might have a self-hosted site instead.

    If you have a self-hosted blog, you need to ask support from WordPress.org instead. Their support forum is at http://wordpress.org/support/

    Just create an account there if you don’t already have one and they should be better able to help you there.

    (The WordPress.com forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com)
