“Insert/edit link or remove link” button

Tonight, as of 9:30pm (PST): When I was adding entries, clicking “Insert/edit link or remove link” button in the textbox won’t let me add a link.
Please help. Thanks.

Update: This issue has not solved. This issue occured while I was blogging on my blog using the posting entry.

Log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again. The link buttons are working fine for me right now.

I tried logging out of WordPress.com, cleared browser cache and cookies. Restarted browser. It still didn’t work.

Simply switch to the HTML editor, select the anchor text and insert the link. Doing this means you totally avoid using the “new linking feature” that appears in the Visual Editor.

Please stop posting to every darn links thread! You are making us Volunteers tag behind you and say the same over and over.The choice is before you. Either upgrade your IE browser to IE8 or switch to Firefox and use the HTML editor to enter links or wait until things are rectified.

The insert link button is not working properly in IE7/8. We’re working to fix it.
In the mean time, you can either type the link manually using the html editor or use another browser to get around the problem.

So there you have it. I’m using Firefox 3.6.12 and the HTML editor and having zero problems.

I have typing links instead of using the button provided at the Visual. It is very hard for me to add new links at the Visual Editor, Thanks for responding to the problems for everyone here.

IE 8 and 7 are both the same. I feel fine using IE 7. So far, not planning to upgrade to 8. When IE 9 is released, I will probably do IE 8 or 9.
