Inserting a picture from the gallery

Can someone walk me through inserting a picture from the gallery into a post. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. This is the first time this is happening since the new dashboard.

I’ve decided to insert pictures into my posts the way I used to – before the new dashboard appeared. I don’t use insert into post using the media gallery – instead I paste the particulars into the pop-up window and insert.
I’m curious when I use the media gallery format and press insert into post sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Why is that?

The same thing is happening (or not happening) to me. Sometimes it works – sometimes it doesn’t. So I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong, or doing right.
To complicate things, before the change, I could only upload sound files through Firefox. But now I can only upload ANYTHING at all with MSIE.
So I can’t upload sound files at all, and I just paid for the upgrade to be able to do it. Sigh….
Being an old lady trying to keep up with all these antsy young geeks is like trying to hold onto a tiger’s tail.
Or riding a mad bull….
Or getting caught in a tornado…
Or getting your head caught in the fan…

I upload all my video and audio files to http://blip.tv/. Blip.tv is free unless you want to make your account private. Once you upload to blip you copy the code and paste it into your post. Your right about me talking to myself but if you see my post DOG GENE BREAKTHOUGH aka SQUEEKY DOG(video) -there might be hope for me. It’s under the Health Section.

I only have one audio file posted so far – on another blog. A boring meeting about Google Adwords.
Your blog is fun…and ambitious. I’ve never even uploaded a video. Are they very large? I don’t have a camcorder…though my camera takes videos, and now they have these HUGE memory cards for cheap, so maybe I should try it.
(Oops, except I forgot. WordPress is broken!)

I’m a King Charles you don’t need wordpress – go to blip.tv take out an account
and upload a sound file. Blip.tv will give you a code and then all you have to do is copy the code and paste it into the post. I didn’t know what I was doing at the beginning but I had so many home videos and I knew my adult siblings would find them very boring if I didn’t do something a little different. My video files are very large that’s one other reason I use blip.tv. I started out winging it(the hit and miss method). If you saw my ears today you wouldn’t be so impressed
If I can help it I would never have them done – I’m not co-operative and it’s a nightmare for everybody. But at least my folks won’t take to a professional because they put your neck in a noose. The thought of that completely paralyzes
me and I’m going to have to lie down and have a nap now. Roxie -
