Inserting an HTML Table
-
Do I have to purchase a higher level plan in order to get a quick button on the editor bar to insert a plain old HTML table grid? I can get by using the text (semi-code) view, but it’s a pain. It would be nice to have that option in the free level. Just curious.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No. There is no tablemaker provided here at all in either of the two editors and no upgrade will change that.
To create your own HTML tables see here > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2013/04/09/table-coding-for-wordpress-com-users/
Another good reference link is http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_tables.asp
Note that if you use Windows then Windows Live Writer it has a tablemaker > http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/windows-live-writer/ Note: Firefox users on Windows machines may need to clear the browser cache with ctrl+shift+del in order to get Firefox to recognize the formatting. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/posting-of-word-files-with-tables?replies=6

I’m okay with making CSS and HTML tables. It’s just silly not having it on the toolbar to make it easier. Every other CMS app I’ve ever used has that (sharepoint, drupal, joomla, even google sites). Oh well. No worries. I’ll consider this topic “dead” and continue on doing it as I’ve been doing. Thank you.
