Inserting an image into the post title

  I need help either eliminating the entire space created by the post title, or, or with inserting an image into the post title – I would like to create the effect of having my image bar be the very top of each post like done on this blog, http://wholelarderlove.com/

  In doing this, I would also like to know how to move the the Posted On Date Header to beneath the image as is done on the aforementioned blog.

  I think you can just set a featured image to get the result you’re looking for. Here’s how to set one:
