Inserting code into tag

Hi,
I know you must get a ton of these questions.. But I really really can’t figure out how to insert the verification codes of any sites, at all! We’re talking Google Analytics, TradeDoubler, Pinterest, everything. They all say I have to insert the codes in the <head> tag. I’ve tried for months now, I’ve tried everything. I’ve inserted the codes one every possible page, I’ve downloaded plugins to do it for me. And it’s still not working! What am I doing wrong? All the help articles are outdated and shows screenshots/menus, that looks nothing like anything I have on my Admin page.

It looks like the site you need help with is a self-hosted WordPress.org site. These forums are for sites hosted on WordPress.com.
