Inserting Gallery into 'About Page'

    Hi there!

    I just read the WordPress tutorial article on how to insert a photo gallery onto a page or into a post and when comparing the options from both the tutorial video and the step by step instructions, mine seem to be very different?

    For example, after selecting the images to add to my gallery, MY option just says ‘Insert Gallery’, there is no ‘Continue’ button. Because of this, I do not have the options to edit the gallery layout– I can only adjust the number of columns and size of images.

    Also, when I go to Settings>Media, I am missing image settings that are shown in your tutorial. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, but I’d like to have a nice looking gallery on my About page, something better than the quite plain one I’m forced into accepting currently.

    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi there!

    It sounds like you may have been looking at a tutorial for self-hosted WordPress.org sites, so those directions will be different.

    There is a guide (including a video) for inserting a gallery on WordPress.com here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/gallery/
