inserting html code
-
I am trying to insert the html code for a sign-up box in a post and in a text box. Both times the code gets truncated once I push the save button and the sign-up box appears only partially. Is this a compatability problem or am I missing something?
Thanks for helping! -
WordPress has way too many security concerns to allow good blogging experience. Im afraid they are more concerned about security than business. Weird folks!

A security hole introduced through poorly written code by a blogger would jeopardize everyone here. Blogger or someone was taken down by bad script not too long ago, and one of the social networks also.
Hire a webhost and go self-hosted. Then you can java, flash, form and iframe to your heart’s content. If things go b0rk, then all that will happen is your blog goes down. Do be aware though that most webhosts scan for bad script and such and if you introduce something bad on your blog, you might find your blog missing from their servers.

reunny – you can always choose another platform if wordpress doesn’t meet your needs. For some of us, security is pretty important. And it certainly has not hurt my blogging experience.

I tried to post a music playlist and a veoh video (embed code) and it wont work!!! :[
I dont think wordpress allows you to use html codes. I wish they would change that.
On blogger html codes work well..that’s what i like about blogger but on wordpress i like how you can make the pages so idk if i should go to blogger.. -
Embeds typically contain either javascript or flash which are not allowed here due to security concerns.
Try using the vodpod button.

You can use the contact form as an alternative to the “sign up” box. Simply place it on a page, and add a note of what information you wish users to submit. Please see –

We seem to be doing just fine with our *horrible* blogging platform. :)
