inserting html code in home page.

  i want to add some html or meta code in the home page of my blog – “funnydays.wordpress”. Kindly help me out how I can do this. Can I disply some ad on my blog registered with word press. If so, kindly tell me how.

  you can insert html code into a text widget to be displayed on your sidebar. however, ads are not allowed on any wp.com blogs.

  Hi !

  me i cant insert widgets in my side bar, in text widget, i tried Xiti, My Blog Log Community, and Widgetbox and it doesnt work, it’s changing the code by itself, or showing the code but not the widget…. WTF

  Are you hosted here at wordpress.com? The reason I ask is that your username is linked to a site that my browser cannot even find.

  If you are here at wordpress.com and if the code you are trying to insert is javascript, shockwave flash, iframes for forms, they will be stripped out by the wordpress.com software due to security concerns.

  Typically when code shows up in a widget post or page, it means there is a mistake in it and the system is not recognizing it as html.
