inserting mailchimp signup form

  I want to replace the mailchimp sign up form to include fields for first and last name, but every time I try copying and inserting the html code from the mailchimp site, it shows up as code on my wordpress site, instead of a fillable form. I know I’m doing something wrong, but I can’t figure out what it is…

  Hi there! Just to check, was this form added to your site using a Custom HTML block? There’s information about the block here:

  I see that you currently have a Business plan associated with your site; what you could also do is use the Mailchimp plugin which exists. This Mailchimp instructions mention both our own block, but also as you’re using the Business plan, their instructions for WordPress.org are equally valid:
