Inserting PDFs into blog posts
-
I am trying to insert a PDF into a blog post but all I can seem to manage is a link to the PDF, rather than the PDF itself. Is this possible? I’ve looked at the forums but cannot find an understandable answer!

Hi there,
Are you looking to have the PDF show up within the confines of your site, or to have the PDF show within the browser window when a link is clicked on?
I ask because PDFs are not really designed to be displayed within browsers like normal HTML files are. Usually it’s best to set them as links and then if your readers have Adobe Reader installed on their browsers, it will open the PDF in their browser for them to read. If they don’t, it will download for them to read later!

Thanks for the reply. I was looking to insert the PDF itself rather than a link to it. In the end I printed out the PDF document, scanned it to convert it to a jpeg and inserted it into my blog post that way, which is a long-winded exercise but it worked!

I’m glad to hear that you found a way around the issue! Ingenuity at its finest!
I hope you have a great week!
