Inserting photos into pages and having text continue underneath

I am having a problem with placing multiple photos on my pages. How do I ensure that once the photos are uploaded from the library I can still write text which will go underneath the image? I’ve resorted to using a rather tacky xxxxx underneath the photo so I can come back to it to add text. It’s easy once you know the trick. Upload the pictures and if you want to come back later and add text, just hit Edit Post and, once on the Edit page, click to the HTML editor (not the visual editor with the buttons like Word) and type your text there. Once the text itself is in there, click back to the Visual editor and tweak the formatting as you like.

That way you can see clearly where the image tags are and put your text outside of those.
