Inserting pictues

  Hi everyone. I have followed the instructions here for inserting pictures from my computer, but no matter what I do the picture ends up at the top of my post. I am inserting the cursor where I want it to land, but it doesn’t seem to “take.” Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong? Thx.

  Are you referring to the blog linked to your username or not? If not then please post an active link for the blog in question starting with http://

  • If that is the blog in question you could have a browser issue so try changing your browser settings, refreshing the page, or clearing the browser cache and cookies – instructions for specific browsers.
  • Note that when you make adjustments to your browser settings — changing privacy settings, deleting cookies or increasing security — you will need to close your window and restart the browser before those new settings become effective.
  • You could try upgrading your browser. http://browsehappy.com
  • You could try using another browser.

  Which browser and version of it are you using please?

  Hi timethief,

  Thanks so much for your great post. I headed right off to try to implement some of the changes/fixes you suggested, and hit a few snags along the way, which is what has taken me so long to get back to you. AFter reading your post, I remembered that the last time I came in there was a message saying that I needed an update for ie, so I went to do that, and then I saw somewhere that wp recommends firefox, so I went to download that, and lost my google homepage (you catch my drift here? cascading idiotic small stuff!) Anyway, I have corrected that problem, and will continue on with your excellent advice and report back as I go along. I just didn’t want you to think I was unappreciative in the meantime. BTW, the blog I am having the problem with is http://www.cookingwithmim.com. Thanks again

  Yay! It worked! I dumped everything out of my cache, and voila! my picture inserted perfectly! Many thanks.

  So could I trouble you with another question? I am in the final throes of posting my first blog (I’m a slow learner), and am trying to work my way through the whole tags/categories thing. I want a side bar with categories for my recipes. Should I create them, as it appears Ishould, as static pages, as a link under the category? Just hoping you might be able to gimme a shortcut through my brainfog. thx.
