Inserting Pictures with new WordPress Editor
-
Hello,
I’ve recently switched to the new WordPress editor and I can’t seem to figure out how to add photos from my WordPress image library. to my post. In the previous editor, it was very easy to access my existing library of images, but it doesn’t seem easy to find anymore. Any help?
Thanks!

I am unable to add any image gallery successfully in Gutenberg. Never been able to do it since its been released.
I can access the image media files ok, choose what images i want in a newly created gallery in a new ‘block’, but the formatting is terrible. It just places the gallery over the top of other images and hides the actual text below it. The gallery floats on top of text in the post rather than being inserted as a block.
I’m having to revert to Classic editor just to continue. I hope that option is always there. Using Safari, i cant use the one button upload function either to upload new images. I have to go into the media files, then click on upload, then it uploads ok. All these secret, workaround, backdoor fixes, just to do something so basic and simple. Its completely ludicrous that a premium business customer has to put up with such a poorly rolled out substandard editor with limited capability.
The formatting (or lack thereof) is just absolutely shocking.
