Inserting You Tube

  Hi,

  I am in need of help inserting a you tube video into a post. I copied and pasted the url, but a link is showing up in my post instead of the actual video. What am I doing wrong?

  Are you using the rich text editor? The one with the icons along the top? If so, you have to put the code into the post within the code tab, not the visual tab.

  Stratch that. You’re putting in the code as an ‘a’ link. All you put in there is the youtube URL. It’s not a link:

  [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MPf2k1rZl0]

  This is what you’re doing:

  [youtube:<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MPf2k1rZl0">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MPf2k1rZl0</a>]

  See the difference?

  I don’t know what I’m doing :)

  I put what I thought I read to put which is this: [youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MPf2k1rZl0%5D

  Is that wrong?

  – Use the code tab of the rich text editor. Looks like you’re using the visual tab to put in the code.

  – Also it’s an equal sign, not a colon.
