hi, so under theme it has customize your blog. it has links where you can add your Pinterest and Facebook etc… but none for Instagram. How do i add my Instagram link. thank you
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The easiest way is to add the Instagram widget to a widget area in your theme: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/instagram-widget/
Otherwise: http://gammagirl.wordpress.com/2013/02/18/instagram-on-wordpress-com/

thank you but i also want a link button with the little picture next to my Pinterest icon

Ah, sorry! Those icons are indeed built-in to the Adelle theme and unfortunately, instagram is not one of them.
From the theme’s Showcase page
Social Profiles
From the customizer, you can add optional links to your profiles on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube. These links will appear as icons in the right sidebar, above the widgets.
You can, however, add the instagram badge in an image widget or text widget just below.

In response to your last comment, I’ve attempted to do as you said but when I go to my instagram badge page and select a badge, there is no code provided in the box below. Have you come across this issue before?
It’s for blog madeondixonfarm.orgCheers

I have tagged this thread for a Staff response.

Could this be yet another annoying and time wasting example of Theme Options that cannot be accessed except through the theme customizer, which cannot be accessed unless one has a custom design upgrade? -
@dixonfarm – If you aren’t able to generate the code for your Instagram badge on their website, you may need to contact Instagram support for additional help. If you have trouble with the code after pasting it into a widget here at WordPress.com, please let me know and I’d be happy to help with that.
@timethief – These theme options are available in the customizer under Appearance > Customize in the dashboard. The customizer is available to all users — only the Custom Design section of the customizer is limited to the custom design upgrade. However, anyone can try out the custom design features in that section and preview them without the upgrade, as well.
