Instagram and Pinterest Widgets Not Working
-
I’ve been trying to connect my Instagram account with my blog, however after the authorization step nothing happens and it takes me back to the beginning for setting up the widget (ie. it never goes to the configuration step).
With Pinterest, I can get the widget onto my blog but when I click on it the pinterest page I’m taken to says “page not found”. I’m also not sure how to set it up so people can pin my posts.
Please help!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I am also wondering how to install the pinterest widget. If a moderator could help us that would be fab! Thanks!

@juliemarie87 – If you are still trying to authorize Instagram, it sounds like you may be trying to do so from within the Customizer tool and users have reported difficulties with that. Please try adding the Instagram widget and authorizing it from within the Widgets dashboard here https://genuinelyjuliedotorg.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php
There is no native WordPressdotcom Pinterest widget, but you can link to your own Pinterest account via the Social Media icons widget. More on that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/social-media-icons-widget/
The other option is to create your own widget linking to your Pinterest account. See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/create-your-own-widget/
If you want people to be able to pin your photos (not posts) you can enable the Official style of sharing buttons. That will add a “Pin It” button to the images on your site. See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/#customize-your-services
If you need/want to verify your site with Pinterest you can do so following the instructions here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/#pinterest-site-verification Note that you do need to be logged in to Pinterest when you do this.
Let us know how that goes.
@flowbeth- Without a link to the site you need help with, we really can’t give an accurate answer. Regardless, perhaps one of my above answers will help you too.

The advertising policy here at WordPressdotcom does not permit banner ads like the one you have at the very bottom of your site’s front page. While WordPressdotcom does allow affiliate ads to reputable merchants, those ads must be text links. Please review this Support doc and take the necessary action. https://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/
