Instagram connection

I am having trouble reconnecting my Instagram account. On the widget I select reconnect Instagram. This opens another window which simply remains blank. No matter what I do I end up back at this same point.

2. Are you logged in to instagram.com in the same browser as you are using your website in? Yes, on a separate tab
3. What is the URL at the top of the window that opens and remains blank? https://public-api.wordpress.com/connect/?action=created&id=23794258&kr_nonce=9761b8acd2&service=instagram-basic-display&blog=5836086&kr_blog_nonce=026a4a415f&magic=keyring#_

Yes, I have the Facebook Container Firefox extension and it’s active.
Should I swithc that off to reconnect? -
I turned off the Facebook Container Firefox extension and the connection has been established.
