Hi there,
Are you currently logged into your Instagram account as you try to authorize it under your widget? Make sure that you are and let me know if you receive any error messages.
Thanks!

I have my IG open in another window. I am not receiving any error messages. When I click authoroze the screen just goes white.

Hmm..okay.
I would try to do the authorization in a different browser than the one you are currently using and see if you get the same response. If you do, I’ll email you to see what we can do to fix this.
Thanks!

I may be able to help with this.
Make sure you are logged into Instagram when doing the widget set up.
The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
* You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with your actual blog’s name in that URL.
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php
Navigate to > Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets
* You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with your actual blog’s name in that URL.
The Instagram widget allows you to display your latest Instagram photos in your site’s sidebar and the guide for setting up the only one that will work on a wordpress.COM hosted blog is here https://en.support.wordpress.com/instagram/instagram-widget/
Also, note this support doc
https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/#widget-visibilityIs your Instagram account public? Or is is private, and therefore, blocked when it comes to display of images in the widget on your blog? And, are you logged in when authorizing it?
This particular widget needs to be authorized using the WP admin widget page rather than the customizer. If you go to Dashboard > Appearance> Widgets from the WP Admin dashboard and authorize the widget from there, you’ll have much better luck. From: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/instagram-widget-wont-authorize-access?replies=9#post-2333822
The steps below assume that you have already logged into Instagram on your computer and that it is a public Instagram account.
Step 1: Open the WP Admin page, and navigate to Appearance > Widgets.
Step 2: Drag and drop the Instagram widget to the sidebar where you want it.
Step 3: Click ‘save’ but do not click ‘authorize.’
Step 4: In a separate tab, open up your Customizer, and navigate to the relevant sidebar’s widgets.
Step 5: You should see Instagram there. Click authorize from the Customizer.NOTE:
All support docs are at https://en.support.wordpress.com/
Search for Instagram there https://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=instagram -

I’m adept at searching and I have cheat sheets … lol :DDidn’t know that since I always use wp-admin to authorize any widgets I add.
This is the only exception I’m aware of at this time.
@nikfosho
You’re welcome and best wishes. :) -

Haha! I visited Whistler last October – my gosh…Canada really is the world’s best kept secret. Heading back this year for our Grand Meetup and am looking forward to it!

You were in my province in an high end mountain resort on the mainland. I live in the gulf islands where the marine environment is outstandingly beautiful, population is low, crime rates are low, people are very well educated left winger environmentalists, and it’s safe place to raise kids, while they get a high quality education. We are currently attracting young couples who work from home as our internet service is great. Maybe there will be a meetup somewhere closer to me like Victoria in the future.
