  Is there any way to change the target for the Instagram widget? I’d like it to open in into a new tab when an image is clicked on.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  There is not currently any way to change the target window for the Instagram widget (in fact most of our widgets don’t allow you to specify the target).

  Okay, thank you for the quick response. I realize free is free, so I’ve figured out an alternate solution to the problem. I guess I would request the team look into making the default target for a third party sites to be a new tab. I would think that would be standard, as we learn to do that in basic HTML. But again, free is free and I do appreciate how much I actually can do for free with WordPress.com. Thanks again :)

  I will certainly make that suggestion. Of course I cannot make any promises or provide a timeline, but I can at least promise that it will get in front of our developers.
