I posted something there two days ago and have not had a response. I cannot see a solution to the problem on that thread either

Staff will respond to you here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/instagram-widget-images-cropped-strangely?replies=17 as soon as they can.

@timethief actually this would have been better as its own thread. She posted in a 3 week old thread that likely isn’t describing the same issue she is having. I almost asked her to create her own thread then found this.
So we’ll just re-open this one.

Thanks <3
@themadameditor right now all of your instagram images in the widget appear to be cropped as squares. Is that what you see too?
-
thanks so much for coming back to me on this i appreciate it. Yes they are cropped as squared but the way I had it before, there was no space between them and there were eight images, four on each row that without any space in between so they were larger than it appears now.
thanks

@themadameditor It looks like you meant for it to be that way, in your Custom CSS:
@media screen and (min-width: 481px) { .wpcom-instagram-columns-3 img { width: 25%; margin: 0; } }You can remove that if you don’t like the effect. Otherwise can you let us know what you were aiming for with that code?

That’s odd. It’s never been that way until recently as December. The customer css was set so that it could spread the width of the footer and have four images on a row. Is this something I can fix by amending the percentage?
-
Try removing that section so you can see how it works without it. Then if you need further changes, you can try adding that back in with adjusted numbers.
-
Thank you ever so much it seems to have done the trick. It is most odd as I spent days and hours with two very wonderful colleagues of yours on this forum getting my blog to look just right for me so thank you for your help it is now back to normal.
thanks
