Instagram widget not working.
-
Lately I’ve been getting this message where my Instagram widget should be:
An error occurred in the Latest Instagram Posts block. Please try again later.
(Only administrators and the post author will see this message.)I’ve tried clearing the cache, reinstalling the widget, reconnecting Instagram, and using a different browser. Nothing works. Is anyone else seeing this error message? How do I get the widget working again? Thanks.

Hey Rebecca!
I actually just tried to add this widget to both my blog and my other site, and am getting an error when attempting to connect my instagram account altogether. When you reset the widget, were you able to get past this point? It may be that there is an issue with the widget itself. -
One more thing before I forget!
From the “my home” portion of your site editor, you can select “tools” on the left, and choose “marketing”. From there, press “Connections” at the top. Down at the bottom, will be a place to connect instagram for the “latest instagram posts” widget. It may be worthwhile to check and make sure the correct instagram is connected! -
Hi, Tykian!
Yeah, that’s exactly what I’ve been seeing, and I’ve tried reinstalling twice. And thanks, that’s an idea. I’ll have to look at Marketing and make sure it’s all correct.

Hi there, currently there is an issue with the Instagram widget/block. Staff are aware of this issue.

According to the latest information, apparently you now need a professional business or creator Instagram account to use this.

That’s interesting. My widget just started working again, and I have a creator account, so maybe that’s why it got over whatever the glitch was.

It appears that you are having an issue with your Instagram widget on your website. Follow the steps below to diagnose and fix the issue:
Verify Instagram API Modifications: Instagram has modified its API over the last few years; this may impact the way third-party widgets engage with Instagram. Make sure your widget is using the new API and is ready for the new stuff.
Check Instagram Account Permissions: Ensure that your Instagram account is properly linked to your site and has the proper permissions. Sometimes just reoving and reauthorising the connection can help refresh the link.
e. Check for Plugin Conflicts: If you are using a CMS like WordPress, there is a possibility that other plugins or themes are conflicting. Disabling other plugins — It could be that some other plugin is causing the issue to show up. If that doesn’t work, enable plugins individually to find the conflict.
Update Widget Code Or Plugin: Always use the latest version of widget or plugin. Old code can conflict with the integration sometimes.
Test on a Fresh Theme: If you’re using a custom theme, there can be a conflict with the Instagram widget. You can also try changing to a default theme temporarily, to check if the widget loads fine. Doing so can assist you in determining whether the problem is theme-related.
9: Contact Support: If none of these solutions work, consider reaching out to the support team of the Instagram widget or social media integration tool that you are using. They may be able to tell if there are problems on their end.
Social media marketing is essential for generating traffic and engagement through platforms, including Instagram and keeping your social media presence aligned with your website, and ensuring your Instagram widget functions correctly is part of that seamless integration.
