Install a Theme on WordPress.com

  Hi,
  I have uploaded a theme on themeforest.net named Hemlock and I would like to know if I can install it on WordPress.com by buying the extension to modify my CSS ?

  Hi there,

  Themes can’t be uploaded to blogs hosted on WordPress.com. They can only be uploaded to self-hosted blogs running on WordPress.org software. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:

  If you would like to stay with WordPress.com, I would recommend asking for a refund as soon as possible. I don’t want you to be out money on a theme you can’t use!

  As far as a similar theme at WordPress.com, Hemlock looks like it’s one-column, meaning it doesn’t have a sidebar. Do any of the themes here catch your eye?

  Many thanks for your help, I don’t know if I can ask for a refund but I hope, I will contact the support.
  And regarding the theme I was looking for a theme like Hemlock with a sidebar and I didn’t find anything similar ?

  Are you referring to this Hemlock theme?

  If so, it doesn’t look like that theme supports a sidebar (that’s the main reason I sent over the one-column themes). Were you looking for a theme with a sidebar instead? If so, perhaps these themes might work better:
