Install of Military Theme from ANCORA via Templatemonster

    I am a newbie and I have been advised by another website forum moderator that I cannot install most of the available templates at Templatemonster in WordPress.com; however, I can install, and I quote: ‘You can use any of the WordPress themes (https://themeforest.net/category/wordpress) using your own domain and hosting with WordPress installed on it but not on a WordPress.com blog’.

    I am confused…please be gentle!

    What they’re getting at is that there’s the free WordPress that you’re on (WordPress.COM) and there’s the self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.ORG)

    Since you’re on WordPress.COM, you are limited to the Themes that you can find by clicking/hovering on My Sites in the top left, then clicking on Themes.

    If you self-host (by downloading the WordPress software from WordPress.ORG and using it on an ISP of your choice) then you can have whatever Theme you want. But you have the added complications that come with doing your own hosting.
