  When I go install/upload the Elementor plugin, the box is greyed out and doesn’t give me the option to upload it.
  Is there something else I need to do?

  There is nu way round but you must upgrade to the Creator Plan if you want to use third party plugins.

  However you really need that Elementor; it’s produces heavy and sloppy html which slows down your site and give compatibility issues.
