Install theme costs $300 — please confirm.

  Dear WordPress. Recently purchased a theme/template I like. When I try to add to my WP account, I’m prompted to purchase a one-year business account for $300. Do I understand correctly — that the only way to upload a theme/template is via the $300 payment?

  This is WordPress.com. If you wish to use a theme really designed for sites hosted elsewhere that use the WordPress.org software then yes, a Business plan is the only way.
