install wampserver can i use it with my current blog

    Hi, I hope this has not been answered hundreds of times before, but spent about 3 hours already installing and searching for answers and Its 1 am.
    I have installed wampserver and everything has connected and working fine. When it connects to wordpress it seems to be a new account, the one that I have just set up i take it.
    But my current blog is what I need to use with it, can that be used through wampserver?

    That’s not a free hosted WordPress.com blog. We cannot help you here with local installs of WordPress>ORG software

    Support for WordPress.org software and any advice you need are provided on the WordPress.org support forums and they are here http://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.org, click that link and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.org bloggers.

    Hi thank you for a swift reply, I wasnt awre of the difference. I thought it was all one only using different endings.
    So even though i have a blog ending in .com it will be different that .org or i mean my account will not work in .org?

    sorry just one more question, I was reading about installing apps to help the blog, I take it these are just for the .org. Im looking to install these and thats why I have installed the wamsperver.

    This should clarify http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    Note that http://serenephotographyblog.wordpress.com/ IS a WordPress.com blog, but wampserver isn’t going to do you any good with that at all with it. The new blog you’re seeing is a completely different blog which is a WordPress.org type of blog, and for support with that you’d need to be over there.

    Plugins are only for WordPress.org. Apps are a different thing, tho http://en.support.wordpress.com/apps/
