Installation issues – 404 error
-
Hello!
Any help would be appreciated here!
I originally re-routed a domain to WordPress, and created the blog prior to installing the admin – that could be my first problem!
So far, I’ve added WP to the Cpanel of my server (DirectNIC), and viewed it to be the same on an FTP site. I’ve changed the MYSQL to reflect the changes made to WP-CONFIG.PHP in the wordpress folder – saved in the root folder “public_html.” So far, I’ve install and re-installed and nothing. When trying to go to this website: http://cinemagrotto.wordpress.com/public_html/wp-admin/install.php, this happens:
404: Page Not Found
We are terribly sorry, but the URL you typed no longer exists. It might have been moved or deleted, or perhaps you mistyped it. We suggest searching the site
I don’t know what to do at this point.
Thanks in advance for any help with this!
-Joey

The domain cinemagrotto.com points to your WordPress.com blog. You need to revert the nameservers of your domain and point this to your new hosting.
Note that you’ve reached support for the free sites hosted at WordPress.com. The site you are referring to is a self-hosted installation of WordPress, available at WordPress.org. If you’re having problems with a site not hosted with WordPress.com, we may not be able to help. To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.
You can find support for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress here and here.
