Installation Problem while running install.php

  i have downloaded wordpress and trying to install on my local machine but whenever i reaches the step 2 and tries to run install.php
  my mysql connections stop and tables get curropted
  i tried this on 2-3 diffrent machine having seprate mysql but every where it stops the data base connection
  i am using mysql 5.0
